Most RVers do end up going with either their cell provider's mi-fi or Millenicom.

There is an app that you can get that will allow your cell to be used as basically a modem PDAnet http://www.junefabrics.com/pdanet/ It will still use your data so you will have to be careful if you don't have a lot available. There are some cell providers that do not like you to do what this app does and there is a part of the app that will allow you to "hide" what you do from them.
